Fashion Revolution is a global movement that operates in 95 countries worldwide and was founded after the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory in Banladesh on April 24th 2013. The destruction of the factory and the large amount of victims that arose, brought to light the unknown till then side of the fashion industry and the production of garments. The goal of Fashion Revolution is to sensitize and inform consumers in order to dramatically change the way fashion is made, produced and consumed. So, the simple question was asked: “Who made my clothes?”
The philosophy of our company from its foundation, 40 years ago, it that fashion provides the opportunity for everyone to express themselves with beauty while yielding quality to their daily life. By its own definition, fashion ought to be protective towards both the environment and the people. On the basis of these values, the Ioanna Kourbela brand supports the Fashion Revolution, taking an active role in the dissemination of sustainable development and fashion in order to protect the environment while at the same time supporting our fellow citizens through fair treatment of employees at every stage of our exclusively domestic production.
We invite you to take part, in order to support consciously both humans and the environment.
